Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how NEXARYO (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Buzz Bee, our social and dating application. Buzz Bee is intended exclusively for people aged 18 and over. By using Buzz Bee you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

• Account & profile data: your display name, profile photos, gender, derived age, bio, preferences, and similar profile content you choose to add.
• Date of birth: required at sign-up for age verification. Your exact date of birth is stored in an owner-only private record and is not shown to other users — only a derived age is displayed on your profile.
• Authentication data: the credentials and identifiers needed to sign you in (e.g. email or third-party sign-in identifiers).
• Messages and interactions: the messages, calls, matches, likes, blocks, and reports you send or receive within the app.
• Location (optional): if you enable location-based discovery, we use an approximate location to surface nearby users. You can disable this in settings.
• Device & usage data: device model, operating system, app version, language, crash diagnostics, and basic usage events used to operate and improve the app.
• Reports & safety signals: reports you submit about other users or content, and reports submitted about you.

3. How we use information

• To create and operate your account and profile.
• To verify you are 18 or older and to keep under-18s off the platform.
• To deliver core features: discovery, matching, messaging, calling, and notifications.
• To keep Buzz Bee safe — reviewing reports, enforcing our standards, and combating abuse including child sexual abuse and exploitation (see our Child Safety Standards).
• To diagnose crashes, debug, and improve performance and reliability.
• To comply with legal obligations and to respond to lawful requests.

4. Age requirement

Buzz Bee is for people aged 18 and over. During onboarding we require a date of birth and our date-of-birth selector prevents anyone whose date of birth is less than 18 years ago from proceeding. If we determine that an account belongs to a person under 18, we remove the account.

5. How information is shared

• With other users: profile information you choose to make visible (such as your display name, photos, bio, and derived age) is shown to other Buzz Bee users. Your exact date of birth is not shared.
• With service providers: we use trusted infrastructure, hosting, analytics, crash reporting, push-notification, and authentication providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
• With authorities: where required by law, or where we identify suspected child sexual abuse material or a credible threat to a child, we will report and cooperate with the appropriate authorities and clearinghouses.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterwards as needed to meet legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and operational obligations. Safety-related records (for example, reports and moderation actions) may be retained longer to protect the community.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is 100% secure, but we work to limit risk and to respond promptly to incidents.

8. Blocking, reporting, and deletion

• Blocking a user is immediate and mutual — any existing connection is severed and the two accounts are hidden from each other.
• Reporting is available from any profile or message and is delivered directly to the Buzz Bee operations team for review.
• Account deletion can be requested in-app or by emailing admin@nexaryo.co.za. Some safety, legal, or financial records may be retained as permitted by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@nexaryo.co.za.

10. International users

Buzz Bee is operated from South Africa. If you use Buzz Bee from outside South Africa, you understand and consent to the transfer and processing of your information in South Africa and in any country where our service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards.

11. Children

Buzz Bee is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child is using Buzz Bee, please report it immediately via the in-app report tool or by emailing admin@nexaryo.co.za. See our Child Safety Standards for more.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last reviewed” date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by other reasonable means.
