Child Safety Standards

1. Our commitment

NEXARYO has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Buzz Bee is an 18+ dating and social product. Children are not permitted to use it, and any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child is strictly forbidden, will be removed when we become aware of it, and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

We are committed to building and operating Buzz Bee in a way that actively discourages this abuse and that makes it easy for users and the public to report it to us.

2. Definitions

• CSAE — Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This includes, for example, grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion of a child, trafficking of a child for sex, or otherwise sexually exploiting a child.
• CSAM — Child Sexual Abuse Material: any visual depiction — including photos, videos, and computer-generated imagery — involving the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. CSAM is illegal.
• Child / minor: for the purposes of these standards, any person under the age of 18.

3. What is prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited on Buzz Bee. Engaging in any of them will result in immediate removal of content, termination of the account, and where applicable a report to law enforcement:

• Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM in any form.
• Grooming — building a relationship or trust with a child in order to sexually exploit or abuse them.
• Sextortion — threatening to expose intimate imagery to coerce a child.
• Trafficking, soliciting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child.
• Sexualising a minor in text, images, audio, usernames, profiles, or any other content.
• Use of the app by, or impersonation of, anyone under 18.
• Any attempt to identify, contact, or arrange an in-person meeting with a child for a sexual purpose.

4. Our 18+ age requirement

Buzz Bee is intended exclusively for people aged 18 and over.

• During onboarding every user must provide a date of birth. The date-of-birth selector prevents anyone whose date of birth is less than 18 years ago from proceeding — a user who is not yet 18 cannot complete sign-up or create a profile.
• Profiles display only a derived age. The exact date of birth is stored in an owner-only private record and is not shared with other users.
• If we determine that an account belongs to a person under 18, we remove the account.

5. How we prevent and detect abuse

Buzz Bee includes the following safety measures:

• Age gating at sign-up that blocks under-18 registration, as described above.
• In-app reporting so any user can report another user's profile or an individual message directly from within the app (see Section 6).
• Blocking that is immediate and mutual: when a user blocks another person, any existing connection is severed so that messaging and calling between them stop at once, and the two accounts are hidden from each other.
• Content moderation of message text, which masks profanity, slurs, and abusive language on the device.
• Manual review of every report we receive, with action taken in accordance with Section 7.

We continue to improve these protections over time.

6. How to report a concern

Child safety reports are treated as our highest priority. There are two ways to reach us, and you do not have to leave the app to do so:

1. In-app report. Open the profile or message in question and use the Report option. Reports are delivered directly to the Buzz Bee operations team for review. You can also Block a user from the same place to immediately stop all contact.
2. By email. Contact our child safety point of contact at admin@nexaryo.co.za. Please include any usernames, screenshots, timestamps, or other detail that will help us investigate. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

You may report a concern even if you are not a Buzz Bee user.

7. How we respond

When we receive a report of suspected CSAE or CSAM, or otherwise become aware of it, we act in accordance with these standards and applicable law. Our response may include:

• Reviewing the report promptly.
• Removing offending content when we obtain actual knowledge of it.
• Suspending or permanently terminating the accounts involved.
• Preserving relevant records to support investigations, to the extent required or permitted by law.
• Reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities and child-protection organisations (see Section 8).

8. Reporting to authorities

Where we identify apparent CSAM or a credible threat to a child, we report it to the relevant authorities and clearinghouses, which may include:

• South African Police Service (SAPS) — emergency line 10111 — and the Film and Publication Board (FPB) hotline, in our home jurisdiction of South Africa.
• The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org — the global clearinghouse for reports of online child sexual exploitation.
• INHOPE member hotlines (inhope.org) for reporters located elsewhere.

Members of the public can also report CSAM directly to any of the above.

9. Legal compliance

NEXARYO operates Buzz Bee in compliance with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where the app is available. In our home jurisdiction of South Africa this includes, among others, the Films and Publications Act, the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, and the Children's Act. We cooperate with valid requests from law enforcement and child-protection agencies.
